Is there anything less inspiring than a blank cubicle or bland, Staples catalog-ish home office? I strongly believe your workspace should be personally suited to your own style- being visually stimulated by your space will spark creativity and inspire you to get down to business. If you agree, I have only one question to ask:
I know, DUH. Look no further than marble to add a glam vibe to your professional digs. Marble is not only an of-the-moment home decor trend, but it’s been recognized for its beauty and luxury across millennia. The ancient city of Alexandria supposedly had whole city blocks lined with marble colonnades, and if it was good enough for the OG #bossbitch, Cleopatra, it’s sure as hell good enough for us (and fashion girls everywhere agree). Below: 3 ways to incorporate marble into your workspace, whether that’s a home office, a cubicle, or just your hard working laptop.
1) DIY Marble Desktop
Ah, the beloved IKEA hack. If you work from home, upgrade your plain desk with marble contact paper. Find a DIY here via blogger Ciara O’Doherty!
2) Treat your Tech
Chances are, you use your phone, computer, or tablet more than any other tool at work. So why not make it something that, to quote the trendiest book of 2018, sparks joy? Do just that with a chic AF marble MacBook case or hand-painted marble iPhone cover (with a matching phone grip!). Here at Janet Gwen Designs, we have a mission to make your hustle beautiful- I think the grey marbled Macbook case, below, and the black and gold marbled Ipad case make your hustle a downright knockout. 3) Desk Accessories
Here’s one for the gals who don’t have a ton of flexibility when it comes to decorating their workspace. A marble pencil cup, agenda, or even a delicious-smelling marble candle will up your workspace style (maybe check with HR before lighting it.).
Et voila- we hope these touches of marble majorly perk up your Monday morning vibes. If you’re still not jazzed, maybe just add an espresso machine to the decor.
